Goddard's 1926 Rocket Model

This 1/48 replica of the rocket that started it all for modern-day spaceflight!

First flown on March 16, 1926, this rocket flew to an altitude of only 41 feet and landed 184 feet downrange of its launch stand. Although it stands just under 3 " tall, this model is very rich in detail, and made primarily from brass.

Truly no space model collection is complete without this piece, a great tribute to the father of modern astronautics, Dr. Robert H. Goddard.
